What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way. In this notice we call them all cookies.

Our approach

By default, this website uses only essential cookies. These are needed for the website and the client portal to work properly and securely. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell information about your visits.

Essential cookies

Essential cookies are always on, because the website cannot work properly without them. They are used for:

Session. To keep you signed in to the client portal as you move between pages, and to sign you out after a period of inactivity.
Security. To protect forms and the portal against misuse, for example by checking that a request really came from your browser.
Theme preference. To remember whether you chose the light or dark display.
Language preference. To remember whether you chose English or Sesotho.

These cookies do not track you across other websites.

The map on the Firm page

The Firm page shows our office on a map provided by Google Maps. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive information such as your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. We do not control those cookies. If you prefer not to load the map, you can find our address in the footer of every page instead.

We would like to understand how the website is used, so that we can improve it. For this we may use a privacy-focused analytics tool, such as Plausible or Umami. These tools can be hosted on our own servers and are designed to collect limited, aggregated information about visits, such as which pages are viewed most.

We only turn on analytics after you give your consent through the cookie banner. If you do not consent, no analytics cookies are set.

Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time:

use the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page to accept or decline analytics
clear cookies in your browser settings, after which we will ask you again
set your browser to block cookies, although some parts of the website, such as the client portal, may then stop working

Declining analytics does not affect your use of the website or portal.
